David Clark
Partner – Building Services & Sustainable Design
Sydney, Australia
I joined Cundall in 2004 and worked in the Melbourne and Manchester offices before moving to Sydney in 2014.
I have over 25 years’ experience in the multi-disciplinary design of buildings and I am chartered in both building services engineering (MCIBSE) and structural engineering (MIStructE). My passion is ensuring buildings are designed to reduce energy, water and resource consumption while providing comfortable, productive spaces for the people who use them.
In 2003, I wrote the first version of Green Star for the Green Building Council of Australia and since my return to Australia in 2014 after a few years in the UK, I have been actively involved with the GBCA, am a member of the Green Star Steering Committee and chair the Green Star Technical Advisory Group.
I regularly speak at conferences and seminars and believe sharing knowledge and ideas is essential if we are to transform the built environment.
My book “What Colour Is Your Building – defining and reducing the energy and carbon footprint of buildings” was published in 2013. To download a 30 minute summary of the book and all of the appendices for free go to www.whatcolourisyourbuilding.com.
