Keen to reduce your energy costs and improve your building’s efficiency but don’t have the funds to do so?  Well for those in South Australia I have good news.

The SA State Government has just released the South Australian Energy Productivity Program (SAEPP) which provides eligible applicants direct grants (free money) to undertake energy audits and energy efficiency upgrades. A summary of the funding available is as follows:

  • Grants which cover 75% of the total cost to undertake energy audits in buildings or sites capped at a total of $15,000 per grant ($7.5m funding available targeting up to 500 businesses)
  • Grants which cover 50% of the cost to undertake energy efficiency upgrade works as recommended via the energy audits capped at a total of $75,000 per grant ($8.5m funding available targeting up to 110 businesses)
  • Grants which provide $1 for every $2 spent on major energy efficiency upgrade works capped at a total of $2.5m per grant ($15m funding available for at least 6 individual grants)

Sounds good! There’s a few eligibility requirements to be met but after reviewing these I am confident that there are lots of businesses that can significantly benefit from this. Cundall can help you with the applications, undertake the energy audits and we can assist with scoping and designing funded energy efficiency upgrades. However, you will need to move quickly as applications close 31st May 2017 for all streams of funding.  So call our Adelaide office today on 08 8419 2700 or email me n.stokoe@cundall.com.
